Position Objective
The TPA Sales and Marketing Representative successfully manages a marketing plan that results in sustained growth of Group Plan Solutions as well as works in the field to sell various GPS administrative and stop loss services. The incumbent provides leadership and guidance related to sales and marketing across GPS functional towers (Operations, Client Service and Sales/Marketing). This position will cover the Illinois and Indiana territories.
Job Responsibilities
Develops and manages marketing plan for all GPS services
Aggressively searches for viable sales opportunities
Monitors territories to do narrow targeted sales/marketing based on factors such as network access, strong broker/agents, employer demographics, etc.
Develops strong relationships with brokers and agents to positon GPS to be the preferred Third Party Administrator for their clients
Manages post-sale follow up to maintain strong relationships and build loyalty to GPS
Handles direct sales of GPS services to brokers, agents, and employers
Provides consulting on self-funding to brokers, agents, and employers
Provides feedback to Operations and Client Services leadership on emerging market trends
Partners with Pekin Sales Executives to identify P&C agents with large, dedicated Employee Benefit divisions, and develops relationships with those divisions
Attends Awards Banquets as determined by management
Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
Bachelors Degree in Insurance or Business Field preferred
5 years experience in sales and/or marketing preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Excellent listening and communication skills (written & verbal) with the ability to speak in public
Ability to work independently with a strong drive to reach individual and corporate goals
Ability to build strong, positive working relationships with customers and coworkers
Knowledge of sales cycle and ability to follow best practices throughout the entire process
Expert-level knowledge related to self-funding and stop loss insurance required

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
