Casual work attire On-the-job training Lively atmosphere The Program Director is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, implementation and evaluation programs for youth between the ages of 5 and 18.
Program responsibility supports our priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character and Citizenship.
The Program Director also provides leadership and supervision to assigned program and volunteer staff; manages budgets and controls expenses as assigned.
Prepare Youth for Success 1.
Plan and oversee the administration of designated Club programs and activities that support Youth Development Outcomes.
Program Development and Implementation 2.
Establish and maintain Club program goals and settings to ensure the health and safety of members.
3.
Ensure the evaluation of Club programs on a continual basis, including tracking outcome metrics; verify that programs/activities respond to member needs and address diversity.
4.
Control Club program and activity expenditures within approved budget.
Strategic Planning 5.
Oversee the identification and evaluation of opportunities to improve program effectiveness.
6.
Ensures quality improvement of programs by conducting program evaluations and annual written analysis of member needs and interests.
Compiles monthly statistical reports reflecting all activities, attendance and participation.
Supervision 7.
Allocate and monitor work assigned to program volunteers and staff, providing ongoing feedback and regular appraisal.
Identify and support training and development opportunities for assigned volunteers and staff.

Oversee proper record keeping and reporting, including activities and events conducted, breakdowns of daily participation figures, notable achievements and any problems/issues.
9.
Ensure productive and effective performance by all program staff and volunteers.
Marketing and Public Relations 10.
Increase visibility of Club programs via posting of schedules, announcements of upcoming events and the dissemination of timely information for the development of advertising and promotion through mailings, fliers and media releases.
ADDITIONAL
Responsibilities:
1.
Ensure an environment that facilitates achievement of Youth Development Outcomes, with overall responsibility for cleanliness, attractiveness and safety of properties and equipment.
2.
May oversee special programs and/or events and/or participate in the implementation of other activities as necessary.
3.
May consult with parents concerning member issues.
4.
May handle deposits and banking transactions.
5.
Assist with fundraising, and grants.
6.
May be required to drive Club van periodically.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Four-year degree in related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications Ability to manage multiple tasks and to develop solutions to problems with limited supervision.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Frequent walking and sitting.
Regular reaching, grasping, and standing.
Regular physical activities related to an office environment.
This position will also require the ability to participate in youth physical fitness activities daily.
You will be required run up and down sporting fields/gymnasiums.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Operate general office equipment, including multi-line phone, fax machine, printer, copier, and personal computer.
